Congratulations to the R&B Dance Team for placing first at their first competition of the 2022 season, which took place at West Laurens High School in Dexter, Ga., on on Saturday, January 8. This victory continues the momentum from last season, when the team finished third in the state in the hip hop category.
The four different categories of competition included Hip Hop, High kick, Jazz/Lyrical, and Pom.
The R&B Dance Team competed in the Westside Showdown Hip-Hop Division, with their performance beginning at 1:15 p.m. There were three other teams competing in the hip-hop division, with the winners listed below:
- 3rd place - Savannah Christian
- 2nd place - Ringgold High School
- 1st place - Cairo High School
The team's next competition is scheduled for Saturday, February 5, at McIntosh High School in Peachtree City, Ga. Come out and support the R&B Dance team for their second competition of the season!
