Cairo High School wins 6th Place in the 2026 Microsoft Office Specialist Word 2019 State Championship Fall Qualifier
The winners of the 2025 Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Georgia State Championship Fall
Qualifier have been announced by Certiport, a Pearson Business, the leading provider of
performance-based IT certification exams that accelerate people’s academic and career
opportunities.
Winning 6th Place in the Microsoft Office Specialist Word (Office 2019) category is N’Mari Davis
from Cairo High School in Cairo, GA! N’Mari Davis competed against students from across
Georgia to earn this coveted placement.
“Oh my gosh! Are you serious? I am so happy and thankful,” says a tearful N’Mari.
To compete in the Fall Qualifier, students aged 13 to 22 were eligible to participate in one of six
competition tracks by submitting a qualified, passing score on the MOS Word, Excel®, or
PowerPoint® certification exams by December 19, 2025.
“We have seen amazing results from the MOS program at our school as students learn and
validate key workforce skills,” says Jennifer A. Davis, Business Teacher at Cairo High School.
“We have been able to certify more than 100 students in an area of Microsoft Office. The MOS
U.S. National Championship further motivates them to get certified, and we are proud of these
students who have proven to be the best in our state.”
“We’re impressed by these students. They have proven they are the best in their state at using
Microsoft Office products effectively. Plus, they now have an important distinction to place on
their resume that shows a desire to learn and validate in-demand skills,” said Krista Ketchmark,
Vice President Certiport and Global IT Business Development, Pearson. “The title ‘Microsoft
Office Specialist Champion’ will serve them well in their academic and career pursuits.”
The Microsoft Office Specialist certification is the only official Microsoft-recognized certification
for Microsoft Office globally and serves as a powerful instrument for assessing students’ skills
and preparing them for real-world application of their knowledge.

The Grady County School System proudly celebrates Black History Month as a time to honor the rich history, culture, and contributions of Black Americans who have shaped our nation and our community. Across Grady schools, students engage in meaningful lessons, activities, and conversations that highlight influential leaders, local changemakers, and everyday heroes whose legacies inspire learning and growth. By embracing Black History Month, Grady County Schools reaffirm their commitment to inclusion, respect, and academic excellence, ensuring that all students see their histories valued and their voices heard while building a stronger, more understanding school community.

February is CTAE Month, a time to celebrate Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education and the impact it has on preparing students for real-world success. CTAE programs equip students with hands-on skills, industry knowledge, and career pathways that lead to high-demand jobs and lifelong learning opportunities. This month, we recognize the dedicated educators, partners, and students who make CTAE a vital part of building a skilled workforce and a stronger community.

This week we salute our Grady County Schools Counselors.
School counselors are the steady support behind every student’s journey, listening, guiding, and advocating so every child feels seen, supported, and empowered to succeed.
